No. We are non-emergency medical transport. We do not carry paramedics, oxygen we did not agree to in advance, or monitoring equipment. If the patient could deteriorate on the way, call 911 and let us take the return trip instead.

Does Medicare or Medicaid cover this?

Texas Medicaid covers non-emergency transport for eligible members through the state's medical transportation program, and some Medicare Advantage plans include a trip allowance. Original Medicare generally does not. Give us the plan name and member ID and we will check before the first trip rather than after.

What happens if the appointment runs long?

The driver waits up to thirty minutes on a scheduled return at no charge. Past that we bill wait time in fifteen-minute increments, or release the driver and send the next available van, whichever you prefer. Tell us which at booking and we will note it on the run sheet.

Can a family member ride along?

Yes. One attendant rides free on every trip. A second rider is fine when the van has a spare seat, which the wheelchair vans usually do and the stretcher units usually do not.
